What do you need for worldschooling success?

It is so cool that there are so many flexible and innovative learning opportunities for families who travel nowadays.

Choosing an educational plan for your gap year, extended travels or full time adventure can be a little overwhelming though, as like everything these days, there is so much information out there to look through. Even for us as teachers, figuring it out took a lot time and patience.

When we set off on an initial gap year, we were planning on returning to school after. (Spoiler alert – That didn’t happen 😜)

So we wanted to be somewhere between homeschooling with online classes (where school curriculum guides the learning), and unschooling which is fully child-led learning.

We wanted the best of both.

But we found the perfect fit in Worldschooling!

It’s an educational philosophy and lifestyle that sees the world as our ‘classroom’ and while we embrace the experiences our travels offer, we also find value in a mix of child led, experience-led and curriculum-led learning.

We are both qualified teachers with years of experience under our belt, we are also experienced travellers so this was going to be easy, right?
